Wild Moose - On the Road
 

It's always a good idea to watch for cars pulled over to the side of the road in Alaska, because the passengers are often looking at wildlife.  We happened upon a female moose that stopped by the side of the road to catch a drink.  These encounters are really just a matter of luck.  Only about a minute after stopping, the moose ran off into the brush, leaving behind a small crowd of tourists holding their cameras.
