Denali - Denali

If you are going to visit Alaska, you have to visit Denali National Park.  The area is simply amazing and the wildlife put on a great show.  The best way to see the area for people like me who don't belive in hiking is the bus tour of the park.  This tour drives through the park stopping for wildlife along the way.  It makes for easy access to the sights of the park and the tour guides are knowledgable.

denali landscape

Mt. Denali, North America's highest peak, is only seen by a small percent of the visitors to the area.  That's because the Mountain itself is often hidden completely behind clouds, as it was during our entire trip.

This Grizzly was munching on some grass only a few feet from the road.

The bus tour is excellent.  The downside is that you have to remember to pack your own lunch because their are no places to eat inside the park.  Also, don't be surprised if you can't see the mountain.
