Byron Glacier - On the Road
 

This is one of the most beautiful areas I saw in Alaska.  The Glacier is a short walk from the parking lot, much like Exit Glacier, except that the Park Service doesn't run this site so the trail is not nearly as nice.  The breif hike is a must if you are in the area because the landscape is nothing short of breathtaking.  The glacier itself had formed a sort of tunnel where chunks of ice had fallen off.
